I am writing to you to insist upon the re-classification of Islam. At the current time, Islam is classified as a religion. This is due to ignorance of the Islamic foundational texts.

Islam is a political movement with religious aspects. It is described as such in its own doctrine.

 

To clarify, a political movement is one which seeks to impose rules on an entire society. These rules are referred to as “laws” because they are enforced through violence, or threat of violence.

 

When our Government passes a law, it is enforced by either the police or (in extreme cases) the army. People who try to evade or break these laws are hunted down and “forced” to comply, at gunpoint if necessary.

 

All political entities try to impose and enforce their own legal code on a society through threat of violence. This is the definition of the term “Political.”

 

Religious movements by contrast, have rules which apply only to their own followers. These rules are enforced by threats of retribution (or promises of rewards) in the afterlife or by a supernatural entity. The worst threat for a religious believer, is to be ex-communicated from the movement. This is the definition of a religious movement.

Whilst members of a religion may involve themselves in politics and try to enforce their beliefs through political means, a legitimate religion itself is not political.

 

Islam does have religious aspects. Muslims pray and they worship a supernatural being. They are offered threats and rewards in the afterlife. However, this movement is essentially a political movement.

 

Its foundational doctrine contains a legal code called Sharia Law. This legal system mandates violent (or even lethal) punishments, many of which are extremely barbaric by Western standards. Importantly, Sharia Law applies to non-Muslims.

When Salman Rushdie insulted Islam, he was sentenced to death under Islamic Sharia law even though he was a non-Muslim. All Muslims are obliged to carry out Islamic legal rulings or “Fatwas” if possible. Thus, Rushdie lives under 24/7 police guard to this day. 

 

This is just one aspect of the political nature of Islam. The other is its insistence on conquering and holding territory.

To quote from Article Eleven of the Hamas Charter:

 

“The Islamic Resistance Movement [Hamas] believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf[i] consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated for Moslem generations until Judgement Day………..

 

This is the law governing the land of Palestine in the Islamic Sharia (law) and the same goes for any land the Moslems have conquered by force…………….

 

This Waqf remains as long as earth and heaven remain. Any procedure in contradiction to Islamic Sharia, where Palestine is concerned, is null and void.”

 

This opinion is based on rock solid Islamic jurisprudence. It is but one of many examples of the aggressive political nature of Islam.

 

It is the responsibility of the Federal Government to protect Australians from radical,  violent political movements. Islam constitutes such a movement and should therefore be classified as a political and not a religious movement.

This belief is based not simply on the abominable actions and beliefs of the Islamic State. Neither is it based on the actions or beliefs of the hundreds of other violent Islamic groups, which differ from ISIS only through lack of resources and their ability to conquer territory.

​

It is based on a careful investigation of the Islamic foundational texts and doctrine. These texts show the beliefs of those we call “extremists” to be entirely justifiable through a mainstream interpretation of these texts.

 

If you are not familiar with Islamic doctrine, then you will not be able to understand this issue. I insist that you take the time to familiarise yourself with these texts in order that you can make informed decisions which will protect us from terror.

Asking for advice from Muslim leaders is not an acceptable way to gain knowledge. Chamberlain once asked Hitler what his intentions were. He subsequently declared to the British people that there would be “Peace in our time.”

Once you have educated yourself on this issue, you will understand why so many of your constituents are demanding that Islam be reclassified as a political movement with religious aspects. We call on you to fulfil your duty and respect our will.

Introduce or support legislation to reclassify Islam. There is no issue more important to me. If you do not represent my wishes to the Parliament, I will pursue every legal avenue to oppose your re-election.

[i] Literal meaning of the word waqf is ‘detention’. In the language of law, waqf means detention of a property so that its produce or income may always be available for Islamic purposes. When a waif is created, the property is detained or, is ‘tied up’ forever and thereafter becomes non-transferable for non Islamic use.

I am one of over 11,100 Australians who signed the House of Representatives e petition ENO155 detailed below which was created by Harry Richardson and is in the process of being sighted by the standing committee on petitions. I agree with the following statement made by Harry Richardson and I want immediate steps taken by our government to address this most serious issue as it is a government’s first duty to protect the safety and welfare of their CURRENT citizens.

 

Here is Harry’s statement accompanying his petition calling for the reclassification of Islam;
"Islam is a political movement with religious aspects. It is described as such by its own doctrine. To clarify this definition: a political entity (for example, the Australian Government), is one which seeks to impose its laws on a society. These laws are enforced through violence, or threat of violence (by the police or armed forces). This is the definition of the term “Political.” Religions have rules which apply only to their followers. These rules are enforced by threats or rewards from a supernatural entity, usually in the afterlife and followers are free to leave. This is the definition of a religious movement. Islam has religious aspects such as the belief in Allah. However, Islam is mostly political. Islam’s foundational doctrine contains a legal code called Sharia Law. This legal system mandates violent punishments, some of which are barbaric. Leaving Islam is a capital offence. Importantly, Sharia Law also applies to non-Muslims. Muslims are obliged to carry out violent Islamic legal rulings whenever possible (as with the Salman Rushdie and Charlie Hebdo affairs). Islam encourages Muslims to conquer and hold territory which is also a political action. The Australian Government faces constitutional difficulties protecting its citizens from Islamic political violence due to the classification of Islam as a religion".
 

As a concerned Australian citizen watching the negative consequences facing many countries who have been foolish enough to allow unlimited Islamic immigration it is my URGENT request that you put a halt on any further Islamic immigration. At only a supposed 2.5% the Muslim population already holds enough power to silence those that speak truthfully about Islam (Ayaan Hirsi Aly) and their partners in crime the extreme left threaten and harass One Nation candidates (Mark Ellis) and their families that much that they are forced to step down. I will not let this matter rest as it is imperative that action is taken immediately in order to save Australia. United Nation dictates must be ignored as they are a corrupt entity, they are completely biased, demonizing the self-defense of Israel while ignoring the crimes of Islam. We should only be offering asylum to those persecuted (more often than not because of Islam), the Gulf States must be pressured to take their co-religionists. I hope to hear from you soon.
