Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing...

Quran (2:244) - "Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things."
Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."
Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority".
Quran (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks."

Quran (9:14) - "Fight against them so that Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people."
Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."
Quran (9:123) - "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness."
THE VIOLENCE HASN'T CHANGED FROM WHAT IT WAS 1,400 YRS AGO!
In the 7th century mohammed coined the Arabic term “Islam” (submission) as the political military entity of his cult and “Muslim” (someone who submits) for his followers. mohammed originally had less than 50 followers.
That eventually led to 100 followers, that led to thousands. To increase the number of his followers, mohammed utilized measures of Jihad and forced submission to islam – under the sword.
Conquering villages by death or submission to islam, his moslem followers adhered to his measures of brutality and genocide.
In an early jihad military force, mohammed murdered over 900 Jews by beheading them himself, as an example to his followers – all in the name of Allah.
The unhappy (yet, truthful) fact is that islam today is what it has been fourteen centuries: violent, intolerant, and expansionary. It is folly to think that we, in the course of a few years or decades, are going to be able to change the basic world outlook of a foreign civilization. islam’s violent nature must be accepted as given; only then will we be able to come up with appropriate policy responses that can improve our chances of survival.
Killing to Avoid Hell
Does Islam teach that a person may avoid Hell by killing for Allah?
According to the Quran, all Muslims will spend time in hell for their sins. After paying the price, Muslims will then be allowed into paradise.
Muhammad made an exception for prophets (ie. himself) and for anyone dying in battle for the cause of Allah's religion.
Quran (4:95) - "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward." Allah distinguishes Muslims from one another based on their willingness to fight and die in Holy War. Non-violent Muslims will not receive the same reward as the Jihadis.
